Church Christmas Card

Sunday School have produced a large Christmas Card for church members to send their greetings to one another, enabling us to donate the money we have saved from sending individual cards, to a charity.

This year the funds raised will support Blaze a local charity based in Grangetown.

“Inspired by the Christian value to show unconditional love; Blaze exists to love people by journeying with them through the highs and lows of life, helping people love themselves and others. We specialise in educating children youth and families in building positive relationships, family values and life skills that will Ignite Brighter Futures”

More information on Blaze - http://infoblazecharity.wixsite.com/mysite or on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/blazeuk/

The card is available each Sunday during Advent.

Whitby Chistian Fellowship - Walk Through Bethlehem

On, Saturday 15th December, Whitby Christian Fellowship are again putting on their ‘Walk Through Bethlehem’ event. There were great reviews last year!

Go along to Eskdale School - Doors open at 14:00 and close at 18:00.

“Come and see the sights and sounds of Bethlehem and celebrate the start of the Christmas festival, celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus!

Entry is free and there are many things to see including an Inn serving refreshments; market stalls of food and tradesmen of the time, sharing their works; and of course, a stable and baby Jesus with Mary and Joseph too.

There will be donkeys too for the children to ride on.

Why not come and visit us and start the Christmas period with the true meaning of Christmas?”

Prayer request - Sally

Sally is currently going through quite a bad patch, she’s trying to sell her home to enable her to move to Guisborough to be closer to family and friends, please keep Sally in your thoughts and prayers, that she will find a way forward.

Helen, Sallys daughter also needs our prayers, her and her husband are trying for another baby, unfortunately this means she needs to come off the medication she takes to help keep her symptoms at bay. They have a testing time ahead and need our prayer.

Prayer request - Mary

Mary is still quite unwell as she fights a bad chest infection, she has been prescribed I.V. antibiotics to help clear the infection at home and has completed her first week, with a further week, maybe two to complete, a matron is coming daily to provide the medication.

Mary thanks you all for your kind prayers. Please continue to pray for a swift recovery.
